Astro and time lapse photographer Colin Legg shot this brilliant short video of the Moon with Saturn in the background. You can clearly see the rings around Saturn in the video thanks to the Magic Lantern software running on his Canon 5d Mark II. OK it’s a little boring to watch but a great example of what can be achieved with moderately basic equipment. Captured from Perth, Western Australia, just on dawn, Colin used his Celestron C8, f/10, prime focus telescope attached to a  Canon 5D Mark II, running Magic Lantern RAW video firmware in 3x crop mode @ 1880 x 1056 resolution. 1/60 sec exposure, ISO 200, the video is at 10 fps.
