Kim always has an eye to the images that capture the joy, the emotion, the sheer fun of a moment. He’ll find the light and encourage the right look, the right hint of personality from even the most reluctant portrait sitter.

If the shot needs him to melt into the background, he’ll blend into the crowd and capture the photo. But if energy is what you need, he’ll throw himself into rousing the crowd and inspiring some action, as well as getting the kids to pull a few crazy faces. Photos that make you smile and remember.

Well that’s what my Bio says but who I really am is a Dad of two little kids and husband of one [very] patient wife. Much of what I shoot when I’m not working involves my kids and their life, like most other photographers I guess. They are mostly giving in that regard too, for now anyway.

Growing up, I was fortunate to have a neighbour who was lead photographer for a large newspaper and he showed me around a camera, often telling me my shot would appear in the front page tomorrow, I doubt that ever happened but it did spark my love with photography and I’m thankful for that. I also have a love of music and spent nearly 10 years touring and recording with several bands both home and abroad. My love for live music is still strong and most chances/requests to shoot a gig I get I’ll just say a big yes to, given the time, just for the enjoyment of going out and hearing something new.

I spent six years, from 2016 to 2022, as an Ambassador for Fujifilm ( Official X-Photographer ) something I’m very proud of, being included with such great photographers from all around the world & I’m thankful to Fujifilm for their support.

Producing images for a wide variety of clients, I shoot weddings, portraits, events, corporate, music, products & landscapes, these have all been in my viewfinder and I’m always on the lookout for a new challenge to apply myself to – always be open to learning and trying something new, some of the best advice I ever received and something I live my life with constantly.
