Basic Wedding Kit - Fujifilm

The basics that you'll need to go shoot a wedding with, there are so many options here but this would be a great starting point to grow your wedding kit from. Cameras, lenses, lights, bags and spares so you're never stuck saying you can't shoot.

Note: Commissions may be earned from the links below but at no extra cost to you

Fujifilm X-T4

Amazing camera, with beautiful colours, the addition of IBIS really helps getting the shot at times. Plus it looks great and will start conversations about it being a film camera. Grab a couple of these for your wedding kit.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF23mmF2 R WR

The AF on this lens is what makes it great, it’s also small & light with good weather sealing in case you get caught in the rain. A good match with the XF50/2

Fujifilm Fujinon XF50mmF2 R WR

A great companion to the XF 23mm F/2, this will give you a closer look & has fast AF with weather sealing while being small and light.

Godox V1F

Godox have fixed most of the little usability issues from their earlier flash units with this V1 model, better menus, easier to attach and the light output is great for weddings. Get one for each camera or three and have a couple up on light stands for the dancing shots and one for on camera control.

SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Card

Great solidly built SD cards, fast enough for most days shootings at a wedding with good transfer speeds, well also handle 4K at 400Mbps video just fine. You should consider 4 of these at least for a wedding.

Think Tank Airport Advantage

More than big enough to fit this kit, with room to grow, and also a place to fit all the other odds and ends you’ll need, like shoulder straps power banks and business cards as well as cleaning equipment and cables. Also looks really stylish is water resistant and has very smooth and quiet rollers. A place for you to work from and pack up all your gear safely at the end of the day for transport. Comes with more dividers than you’ll need and great fit and finish. There is also a slightly larger version of this bag if you feel like you’re going to add more to your kit.

ONA The Bowery Antique Cognac Leather

Luxury bag but looks great and will hold spare lenses or flashes, or flash modifiers as well as batteries/SD cards/Cleaning stuff etc… You’ll need a bag like this when on the move during a busy wedding day.

Fujifilm NP-W235

Weddings are long days for your camera (and you) so having spare batteries is a must. I’ll usually get by with four batteries between two cameras but I carry a few spares in the bag – just in case as you don”t want to have to tell the bride you have to stop shooting because your batteries are flat.

Anker PowerCore 20000mAh USB-C 20W PD

This will keep your phone charged (and power/charge your camera if you want) as well as most other things that can run on USB power. Very handy to have in your rolling bag.

Godox V1 Battery

Although the V1 battery should last all day, sometimes thigs go wrong and you’ll need a backup, grab a couple of these.

3 meter – 10 feet light stand

Grab a couple of these and get some off camera flash going during the dancing, you don’t need anything too heavy as you are only holding a small flash and S2 bracket up there.

Godox S2

This will hold your V1 flash and allow you to place it on top of a light stand, allows for tilt so you can point the flash down a bit

If you need an app to edit those amazing raw files from your wedding shoot the best you can get is made by Capture One. Fujifilm and Capture One worked together to fine tune a version especially for Fujifilm cameras so you are going to get the best out of your images when you edit with Capture One Pro Fuji. You can select the colour sim just like from the camera as well as all the other tools that the app offers. I’ve been using Capture One for years and can recommend it 100%.
